Do we have to run Submit Accounting in Receivables to keep Advanced Collections data current?

We are implementing Advanced Collections in 12.2.5.  During initial testing it was discovered that we need to run Submit Accounting in Receivables to allow the data in Advanced Collections to populate.  Is this correct?  Do we need to be posting our Receivables Subledger to the GL multiple times a day to keep Advanced Collections current?  Please advise as I am new to this project and Advanced Collections.  Thank you.
