Changing amount of multicurrency item is not valid in detail reference tab

Hi Team,

We have created one regular deposit :-

Item balance currency = 'CAD'

Item business unit base currency='USD'

Deposit control currency='CAD'

Deposit Business unit base currency='USD'

While changing amount in detail reference tab we are getting below error.

"Changing the amount for a MultiCurrency item is not valid on this panel (6040,610)

To change the amount of a MultiCurrency item you must first select the item on the payment worksheet panel"

This error is not allowing us to change value. Request you to please let us know the significance of this error.

Why users have restricted for changing value in detail reference tab?
