PSPPYRUN Calc Process taking long time to complete

Hello

We recently upgrade PeopleTools to 8.55 and Oracle db 12.2.0.1.  Since then we are PayCalc (full Calc) is taking long time to complete.  Before the upgrade it used to take an hour or so, now its taking 8 plus hours.  Trace indicated PSPTCALC_S_AGG is taking the most time. We ran rebuild index and update stats all payroll tables and job table.  Oracle suggested we should also try adding hint (Rule, Order. Choose) in the cobol sql. 

Can someone provide help me on how to add "hint" to cobol sql.
