SearchInit event in PT 8.56

Is it normal in PT 8.56 to trigger SearchInit peoplecode when clicking the search button? We are upgrading to PT 8.56  and I have noticed the searchinit triggers once before the search page is displayed and every time I click the Search button. This behavior is only with the fluid components. Classic/Classic plus components triggers searchinit only once.
