Does a user logging into PeopleSoft PIA using a Web Browser require Java Installation ?

Hi All,

I have a question which may sound silly, but please bear with me.

Does an end user logging Just into PeopleSoft PIA using a browser require a separate Java installation ?

The installation is a PeopleTools 8.50 version on Oracle 11g. The end user access through Internet Explorer (Supported Versions) on Windows 7 and 8.1.
