Work flow notifications in mail_status=ERROR

hello Team,

Can anyone help me with workflow issue we are facing.

We had upgrade to our instance due to which we faced notification mailer issues.

Now the notifications are working well.But there are some notifications still stuck in error for old dates.

Can you give us the solution?

Will updating the status to null and running workflow background process help in clearing them?
