How can I collaspe the first folder in a Navigation Collection - PTools 8.56

I've found the reference in Peoplebooks that the first folder defaults to being open in the Folder on a navigation collection/Tile. Our users would like it collasped so it's first on the  list but closed. We ordered our tiles by business process and not everyone uses the first folder even though its part of their job function. I have a combination of folders and links on the NavCollection but we don't want hte links to be first in the list on the left.
