Call-ID change

Hello....have a question regarding how to change or remove the host portion of the header Call-ID.  It first come with the INVITE i am sending and has the form similar to 7537076183969@10.20.30.41   The first question is "am i allowed to change the contents of the Call-ID field?? in particular i'm trying to rid or change the host portion i.e. 10.20.30.41.   The pay grades above me do not want the private address to be sent out.  SHould i change the host portion or delete it? Am i allowed to modify it?  I wrote several HMR's to change the host IP from
