Business unit changed location on tree mid-year, need YTD totals to line up with period for the busi

As of June 1 our company changed one business unit from one division to the other, thus the business unit moved from one node on the business unit tree to another.  In nVision for the YTD amounts we would like to see the totals for the business unit in one section based on the node in January through May and in another section for June through the remainder of the year.  I thought there was a way to do this using the tree effective date and the as of date on the business unit, but I have not been successful.
