Accounting Period in AR different than BI Invoice Accounting Date

Period 1 fiscal 2019 (July2018) is not open during the month of July, to prevent June 2018 invoices from posting to the wrong fiscal period in BI and AR.

Invoices are not posting to AR because the Accounting Date is July and the period is not open. 

  1. Why isn’t the AR Accounting Date the same as the BI accounting date?
  2. Why isn’t an Open Period warning message issued when the Post Action does not complete as
    requested?
