ORACLE RETAIL: MOM ISSUE
Dear community
My name is Angelo Cirillo and I’m the Farmatodo IT Vice President (CIO)
Farmatodo is a multinational drugstore company with operations in Venezuela and in Colombia with more than 200 stores and all our core software is Oracle Retail (MOM, WMS, SIM, XStore)
I’m writing to you, because we are working in an Oracle Retail implementation Project (upgrade for Venezuela and a new implementation for Colombia) and I would like to post a question about a functional issue that we have In order to obtain your recommendations
The functional issue is that according to the information contained in the Oracle Retail Merchandising System Deals Overview, incomes for based on sales deals are calculated on the retail price of the item sold. However, the normal practice in our market (Colombia and Venezuela) is calculating incomes on the Base Cost of the item sold. This practice is even subjected to compliance terms and audits. It’s the same for Vendor Funded Promotions. We would like to know if RMS supports this change and if it is possible to provide both options for the future.
