Examples of providing PDF documents through REST API

We are currently on PeopleTools 8.53.26, and have implemented several REST API's to provide data to systems outside of our PeopleSoft (HRMS 9.1) system.

The next challenge is to provide one or more PDF documents, via the REST API.

The PDF's are stored inside the PS database, and based on keys coming in, we would like to send the PDF document back in the response.

Does anyone have an example of the Request/Response Documents and App Package to do this?
