Spreadsheet Journal Import Template freezes/locks up

Hello,

We are currently on PS 9.1 and are in the process of upgrading to PT 8.53. We have been using the delivered template files for Excel 97- 2000 and are now trying to roll out the .xlsm template files. Most users are on Windows 7 and using either Excel 2007 or Excel 2010. The company has started rolling out Win 10 computers and users can expect to be upgraded to Excel 2010 or later. Our template files contain very few modifications (forcing certain fields to be UPPERCASE and restricting the number of decimal places to 2)

We supplied the revised template files to a handful of users and it works okay when selecting 'New" from the home screen. However, if any other button is selected (Edit, Delete, or Copy) the entire workbook freezes and the file has to be closed via the Task Manager. This occurs if there are existing journals. If there are no existing journals and the Edit button is clicked, the workbook does not freeze or lock up. This is happening regardless of Excel version being used. An error message is not being displayed either.
