Releases disappearing on Recurring Voucher Contracts

We are currently in PeopleSoft version 9.2, PeopleTools release 8.55.  We are using the recurring voucher contract functionality but on two occasions we have had the releases suddenly disappear.  One time we had set up 12 releases and after five were voucher built, the other seven disappeared.  On the second occasion, we had 12 releases added to an existing contract on Sept. 4 (first of the new releases to be voucher built on Sept. 25) and they all disappeared.  I know if you don't save after staging the releases they aren't saved, but there is a warning about that and
