Oracle 18c Certification with PeopleTools 8.55

Hello everybody,

It looks like Oracle 18c has recently been added to the list of supported databases for PeopleTools 8.55, per the Certifications search in the Oracle Support site.  I am certain this was a recent change, as our work group was just discussing this last month and none of us recall this being a supported option.  Does anybody have a technical note or KB article or anything really that discusses this new certification in more detail?  I tried searching around but could find nothing definitive stating that this certification is now valid and the reasons why it was added.

We're currently on Oracle DB 12.1.0.2 with PeopleTools and this extra certification has the opportunity to affect our upgrade schedule in a positive way.
