Navigation Collections hierarchy limitation

We are currently in the process of upgrading to PeopleTools 8.56. We would like to use the Home Pages with custom Tiles for navigation. However, we have noticed that when navigating via the Tile, which is based on a Navigation Collection, we don't see all the items that appear when you navigate via the Navigation Bar. Oracle Support has informed us that this is a design limitation, whereby the Navigation Collection hierarchy cannot be deeper that 2 levels. This is a shame, as it renders the Navigation collections useless.
