Recurring voucher contract releases disappearing

We are in PeopleSoft verion 9.2, currently through Image 28.  We are using the recurring voucher contract functionality for lease payments.  However, on three occasions now the staged releases that have not yet been voucher built have disappeared.  We have not been able to replicate the issue or discover why this might be happening.  Has anyone else experienced this?  We have put in place a monitoring system to send us a list of the releases currently on the contracts so we will know if any go missing, but this is not really a long term solution.

Any ideas or suggestions?
