remove all the character start with * behind the amount in Business Function: ConvertNumericValueToW

Good day.

Facing issue to remove all the character start with * behind the amount in Business Function: ConvertNumericValueToWordSingapore. 

Source Module: X00500C
Data Structure:  D0400555

Instead of USD TWO HUNDRED FORTY TWO THOUSAND AND ZERO CENTS*****************************************************,
I want to truncate or delete all the * after the amount and become
SD TWO HUNDRED FORTY TWO THOUSAND AND ZERO CENTS ONLY.

Any way do to complete this using SQL and XSL functions extended by BI Publisher for use in RTF templates?
Kindly advise.
