change to multi-org for OIC

Hi,

we have one client, who is using OIC (release 12.1.3) setup as non multi-org. Now they plan to add another sales team to the separate compensation organization. Is it possible to upgrade/change to multi-org setup? They are using it for 6 years approximately.

If yes, could you recommend some notes, steps, how to process.
