Acme Packet 3900 - Does it support NIC bonding
The customer has purchased a single SBC, Acme Packet 3900, unit rather than a High Availability pair of SBC units. So the "redundancy" feature cannot be configured as it is not applicable.
Since the Acme Packet 3900 has 4 NICs, the customer wanted to use them in two bonded pairs. One pair to connect to the carrier's data switches and the other pair to connect to their internal data switches.
The advantage of the bonded pair of NICs is that it would be connected to a HA data switch stack. So, one side/half of the switch stack could fail or be taken offline without affecting connectivity to the Amce Packet SBC.
