Splitting up PS_HOME

We had an PT upgrade done In the summer and our NonPrd environments (DEV/TST) share ps_home, ps_app_home for PT 8.56.  This has caused some issues when trying to patch in isolation from the other environments such as at Tax Upgrade time.

I'm curious if anyone out there has the same setup as ours and has managed to create a ps_patch_home or something equivalent or do you have a setup that has a ps_home, ps_app_home for each environment.

Appreciate insight
