What causes the app server log error message, 'Invalid typeahead user personalization format encount

The FSPRD and HRPRD app server logs are showing several users are getting the ‘Invalid typeahead user personalization format encountered undefined’ error message.  These errors were not found in CRM, ELM and iHub's (portal) app server logs.

The typeahead is disabled in the Personalization Options and Web Profile in ELM, FSCM, HCM and iHub.   

In CRM the PeopleTools>Personalization>Personalization Option for PPTL has the TypeAhead feature turned on.  In the PeopleTools>Web Profile>Web Profile Configurations>Custom Properties tab is turned off.    

Disabling this feature should have stopped these errors in FSPRD and HRPRD.  What are causing these errors?   We are not getting any reports of typeahead issues from our users that are getting this error.
