How to turn off/disallow grid personalizations?

Is there a way to stop users from making Grid personalizations? 

We recently upgraded from PeopleTools 8.56.06 to 8.56.12, and now we are getting user reports that users are getting kicked out of the system when they try to access certain pages.  The page could be different for different people but it is always a page with a grid, and for most people it's their timesheet.  This is a known issue documented in Doc ID 2068848.1 which has to do with grid personalizations.  Clearing the table PSUSEROBJTYPE temporarily eliminates the issue... until users create new personalizations and then it comes back.
