nvision tree performance optimization

We are on PT 8.56.10 and we noticed that towards the end of year when we run the financial statements for the entire year, the nvision performance is really slow (Since nvision has to scan all 12 periods). We are using trees to filter and Ledger as source to fetch financial information. Has anyone used optimization techniques using nvsion trees? Has anyone else faced similar issues?
