Does Peopletools allows or supports for integrating 3rd party applications through JSON?

Hello,

We have a requirement to integrate PeopleSoft application to a 3rd party client application which requires integration through JSON messages. Would like to know if PeopleTools allows or supports or have features to generate PeopleSoft application data in JSON format and integrates to 3rd party application. In high level the 3rd Party client application will invoke a webservice with employee ID to PeopleSoft HR, PeopleSoft should receive the employee ID and send the required data specific to the employee back to 3rd Party system in JSON format. This will be kind of real time synchronous message instead of traditional IB
