How to store Notes data in HTML format?

The reason i am asking this is, we have a new Communication template in HTML format and is fetching the notes field in its message body. But as the data in Notes is in plain text format, when this gets attached to the email body, instead of multiple lines, we  see all the data in single line. Is it possible using any siebel properties to store the notes in HTML format?

Currently i have written a BS to convert plain text to HTML, before sending the mail. But if there are any alternatives, kindly suggest.
