PTF Playback with Chrome Browser

At the Collaborate 2019 conference I was let to believe that PTF Playback with the Chrome Browser is much faster than with IE.  Our Chrome instances auto update and are all the way up to version 73.0.3683.103, but our Tools environments for FSCM is 8.55.23.  My personal PTF installation is v 8.55.20.  If I try to playback with Chrome I just get errors:
