Need better Understanding for Fluid Home Pages Security Setup

Folks

            As we are putting Fluid Out and you create Fluid Home Pages , I am noticing the need additional Manual intervention is needed for Fluid Home pages to show up.

            I was hoping, If I gave the home page General security, The tiles (Component) I selected for that home page would dictate if I would see that Homepage as a selection. (And Net see if nothing was available)

               So now I hear I need to Figure out, the security from the tiles and apply to homePage security , Thus I will see home page if I have one or more tiles and based on tiles (Component) I will see only those Tiles.
