Has anybody did Encryption for SSN / National Id in PeopleSoft ? Our Database is MS Sql Server 2012.

We have a requirement to encrypt SSN / National ID data in PeopleSoft. We are using PeopleTools 8.56 , MS SQL Server 2012,  HCM 9.2 & Windows Platform. Any suggestion/document how to achieve at database level Or any other idea to effectively implement it ?
