Configuring Elasticsearch using a load balancer VIP in IB Gateway setup.

I'm trying to configure Elasticsearch using a load balancer VIP in IB Gateway setup.  I can not return search results with this configuration.  Has anyone successfully used a load balance in the IB Gateway and Elasticsearch configuration?
