SQL Server 2014 Applying SP3

We are on People Tools 8.54 and Application 9.2

Database: SQL Server 2014, OS: 2012 R2 (all 64 Bit).

Question: Per our DBA team,  they need to apply SP3 for SQL Server 2014 Database for PeopleSoft Applications. I know it should be certified since 2014 version is certified for our configuration.

I am asking a question in regards, what level of testing is needed that we need to educate our end users/functional users. how would new SP3 DB patching would impact our Applications or if any?

Does anybody in the same situation, have applied Database patching and they need to testing anything or have any issues during DB patching. Anything to consider during Database Patching or after.
