"HTML Summary Info" email style notification preference

I'm trying to find out what the "HTML Summary Info" email style notification preference does.   I had a user set their notification preference to this last week and they received a notification email at 7:51 AM on Saturday and again at 7:51 AM on Sunday for timecard notifications.  

I've looked at several MOS documents but have not found a description of how this email style works.
