PromoType -Off Retail - 1006 - sale flow to RMS

in Retail Merchandising System (MOSC) Question

Hi,

In V16, coresvc_sales_upload_sql package  being called for sales processing from ReSA to RMS , in the 'VALIDATE_PROM_TYPE'  function , its mentioned to throw error as INV_PROM_TYPE  if the prom_tran_type = '1006'  (Off -Retail) .  Could anyone explain why is it mentioned so for the code 1006 ? What would be the impact if it flows to RMS ?
