Do we have to apply any application updates before doing Tools only upgrade (PT 8.56)

We are planning of upgrading our People tools from 8.55.26 to 8.56.16, and we are running the below applications.

HCM 9.2 (PUM 25)
FS 9.2 (PUM 26)

do we have to apply any application updates(package) before upgrading our PeopleTools to 8.56, if so how can I search in PeopleSoft PUM to get the list of all the packages that we have to apply before tools upgrade.
