How to apply PT patch to PUM FRESH Demo install?

I have deployed HCM PUM 30 as FRESH Demo on Windows platform.

Running into an issue when trying to apply the PeopleTools patch 8.57.06.

As a first step, I ran "psft-dpk-setup --cleanup".

This command ran successfully, but deleted HCM Demo database.

By default, the Oracle server and database was under PSFT_BASE\db.

After the cleanup, the "PSFT_BASE\db" folder contents were lost.

What is the correct way to apply the PT patch to PUM FRESH Demo, but save the database from deletion?
