Access to OO Component Exammples

I left an organization that was using ELM and going to FIN/HR 9.2 and am now at an organization that is at FIN/HR 9.1 and not yet on 9.2 (next year).

We had a copy of ELM at my old company and many of the components had examples of excellent designs using Application Packages.  Each component had a matching Application Package with Model / View / Controller objects. They were very elegant examples.

Is there any way of getting access to any of those as examples, or can anyone who has used this approach describe it a bit better?
