Unknown Variable when using Date and Time Period Variables

I am on PT.8.56. Excel 2010.

I have an nVision layout with the following variables in the layout. I am running the report request with an as of date of 06/30/2019 in a Matrix layout.

The as of date, is returned with the value I entered in the report request. However the other date/time period variables return a value of "Unknown Value". How can those variables be unknown? What else would be required for the %FY4% or %PER% variables to return values?

I recall in previous PT versions the value being returned.
