Hostname must be <= 30 characters in length

This is the error that I have encountered when starting the application server, on a host with a long host name.  In my case, it is 45 characters.

CMDTUX_CAT:70: ERROR: Identifier for MASTER must be <= 30 characters in length

So what I have done is to follow the workaround to edit the psappsrv.ubx and change all occurrences of {MACH} to the short name of the server.  Also, an environment variable PMID also need the same short name.  I can now boot the server application server processes OK.  But when I enable Publish&Subscribe, the PSBRKDSP is throwing a truncation error at boot time:
