Security Automation: How to bulk load / update permission lists to enable / disable access to conten

We are in the process of image update (HCM 9.2 PI 22 to 30 with PT 8.55.14) and there are quiet a lot (100s+) content references got impacted with custom permission lists added in there. The assumption is that once the Image package applied in the target environment, these custom permission lists will be gone / wiped out and need reassignment. Looking for an approach or any automated way to achieve this instead of manually applying the security (updating the custom permission lists to add those image package impacted content references).
