[AWE] Does it Re-Resolve on each Approval

After an AWE transaction has been submitted it creates steps and user steps based on the approval process definition current at the time (that it matches it's criteria or is the default for). For that same transaction, does AWE re-evaluate the needed steps and users as each user approves. I think the steps and users resolved at initiation are not re-evaluated unless the transaction is re-submitted (say from the admin panel).

For example, lets say the approval process is 2 steps. On initiation, step 1's criteria is matched and it resolves to user Gary Furash, step 2 resolves to Gary Furash's manager, Phil Lutz. If Gary Furash takes a long time to approve this transaction, and then approves it, but in that interim his manager is changed to Damian Martinez, I think the approval process still sends the next step to Phil Lutz, right?
