slow odbc connection

We have an oracle schema with large amount of data.  Some tables in the schema have over 6 million of records.  All table are well indexed.

We also have an Access frond end file link the tables in oracle using oracle 11g odbc driver.  (both access 2010 and oracle odbc driver are 32bit).  I notice the connection is very slow when using the large table.   Any suggestion? Thank you!
