Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Hello All,

I am about to embark on setting up a logical standby on Linux Oracle VM.

I have a couple of questions.

Do source and target ports have to be open ? Bidirectionally ?

What would be the Application Layer Protocol (OSI Layer 7) ?
