Applying Change Package from a differet server for Move to Production

we completed applying change package on my test system from the server that has newly installed image.

For applying to production,i would like to use a different server to reduce network traffie that has the same Change assistant version.

Can i apply the package from a different server for Move to Production pass that didnt has image ? is it mandatory that we need to have image available on each server that we do maintenance for  MTP ?.
