PIA Weblogic domains slow to start/stop

We are moving web servers from AIX to Linux (RHEL7).  The Weblogic version is WebLogic Server 12.1.3.0.0 patch 29633448.  The configiuration is a PIA multi server domain.  I am finding these scripts are very slow to start and stop the Weblogic domains.  Peopletools 8.55.  What should I investigate here?

$PS_CFG_HOME/webserv/<WL_DOMAIN>/bin:

startWebLogicAdmin.sh

adminserverStatus.sh

startManagedWebLogic.sh

multiserverStatus.sh

stopWebLogic.sh
