Does Elasticsearch 6.1.2_04 need Puppet for the DPK installation?

I have been reading PeopleSoft Deployment Packages for Elasticsearch Installation (PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.55) and I see they have new install scripts compared to when we installed 2.3.2. In the Appendix it discusses using the psft-dpk-puppet-setup.sh but the installation questions are not exactly the same as they are in the chapter Installing Elasticsearch 6.1.2 on Linux and it also refers to the 2.3.2 version. Since I want to install the new version do I just use psft-dpk-setup.sh?
