Balance Monitoring on Accounts with Hierarchy

Hello Team,

Can someone shed some light on how balance monitoring works when the accounts are in hierarchy specially when there is only 1 Paying Account and rest all the non paying child accounts.

Currently, we have an issue when the account has multiple services (say ~14K) in this scenario the balance group gets locked and the transaction time increases and in most of the cases the transactions gets timed out. So we are thinking of using Account hierarchy set up on such accounts and interested to know how balance monitoring works in this case.
