Can we use Domain Name Alias in PeopleSoft?

Hi All,

Have anyone used domain name alias for PeopleSoft web servers?

I have created a domain name alias at network level for my PeopleSoft web server machine in order to give more meaningful URL to the users.

For example my web server is "abcduat.domain.com" and I have created an alias like "timesheet.domain.com".

I am able to login and open any page and navigate. NOW when I click on New Window, the new tab opens as expected I can navigate around WHEREAS when I click on Home button in this window the hostname in the URL changes as below -
