upgrade and conversion to independent $PS_HOME

Likely there exist installations like ours in that ps_home, ps_cfg_home, and ps_app_home exist in one physical location for each environment (test,dev, prod, etc). Perhaps by choice and perhaps because the customer has been using Peoplesoft prior to being able to split these locations.

A typical update of tools involves simply installing over the current location. But what does one do should the desire now be to have a single, for example, PS_HOME?

Among other things, the old version of tools must be deleted from $PS_APP_HOME / $PS_CFG_HOME

It would be useful if Oracle could document what directories that should be removed in entirety. Also useful would be a windows and unix batch file that would accept a path parm and clean out tools files in directories that also contain application specific files.
