Make Nav collection link available through nav bar

We want to make a link that is currently only available in a navigation collection accessible through the nav bar.  The link is Review Employee Statements inside the Benefits Administrator nav collection. We have been asked to make this component available through the nav bar under Benefits>Review Employee Benefits but we're having some difficulty doing this. Can this be done and if so, is the process relatively simple?  We are currently on HCM Image 26 but just implemented Fluid OE (selective adoption from Image 29) and are at PT8.56.12.
