Has anybody automated a method to detect if Elastic Search is not available?

Hi there gurus.

Occasionally we get notified that our Elastic Search has gone MIA.

Typically we have to go restart services or fix the scheduled processes.

We can check for processes stuck in the scheduler but when it comes to Elastic suddenly becoming unresponsive I'm struggling with determining the best method to automate a test to verify service availability.

In the past we could also check for stuck Integration Broker messages as well but our version no longer relies on the Integration Broker.

Has anybody setup any kind of automated health check for Elastic with PeopleTools 8.56.09 Elastic 2.3.2?

Thanks...

Tom
